Missing You (2025) Episode 1 “Every Breath You Take” Recap:

“Missing You” opens with a man on a horse and a montage of a woman smiling under the covers. The scene shifts to a restaurant where Kat Donovan is on a date with someone. After talking for a while, Kat Donovan invites the man home. Before leaving, Kat takes a call from her friend Aqua. Suddenly, Kat hears screams from the kitchen and rushes inside to see a man attacking a woman as if she had cheated on this man. On the floor, a man is bleeding from the other man’s attack. Kat tries to calm the man down and asks the other people to call 999 as Kat is a cop. At that moment, Kat’s date enters the kitchen and is surprised because Kat said she was an air hostess.

Who does Kat see on the dating app?

At the station, Nia updates Kat about a new missing person report. The missing man is Rishi Magari, the same man seen at the beginning of the episode. The next order of business comes from Stagger, who introduces a new member to the team, Charlie Pitts. Charlie is a digital media analyst. When Kat steps away from the desk, Charlie is confused about Kat’s personality, so he consults Nia. Unfortunately, Nia is of no help as she describes Kat as strange. So Charlie googles Kat and sees that her father was murdered. By then, Nia gets a lead on Rishi Magari’s car, so the trio heads out to the location. Thanks to the tech whiz Charlie, they unlock the car’s boot without forensic interference. However, they don’t find anything in the trunk.

Somewhere out in the fields, Rishi limps across, looking like a mess. After a yoga session, Kat’s friend and private investigator, Stacy, encourages Kat to use the dating app that Stacy recommended. After Stacy’s insistence, Kat checks the matches and stumbles upon a man named Josh. It turns out that Josh and Kat were engaged, but one day, when Kat came home, Josh was nowhere to be seen. Immediately, Kat consults Stacy, who asks Kat to stay away from Josh since he ghosted Kat right after her father’s death. Just when Kat needed Josh the most, he left. Now Kat consults Aqua about Josh, and Aqua is surprised by the turn of events. The conversation ends as Kat is needed at the station.

What details does Monte reveal about Clint Donovan’s death?

At the station, Stagger informs Kat that Monte Leburne’s (the man in prison for the murder of Kat’s father) cancer is back. After all these years, Kat wants to visit Monte one last time to get answers. In all these years, Monte has refused to meet Kat. Now Kat is home and has informed her mother about the situation. However, Kat’s mother asks her daughter not to talk to Monte.

About Josh, Kat’s mother asks Kat to talk to Josh if it will help her. So Kat matches with Josh and waits for Josh to do the same. Meanwhile, Stacy offers to help Kat get into prison to meet Monte. On the other hand, Josh matches with Kat as well. So Kat leaves a message that reminds her of Josh and her good times. Elsewhere, a man chases after Rishi in a tractor and uses a Taser on him.

At the same time, the cops get a lead about the cottage Rishi is staying in, so Kat and Nia reach the location. As the forensics team conducts their investigation, Kat leaves to meet Stacy since she has clearance to meet Monte. At the prison, Monte Leburne messes with Kat, making her beg him to reveal the truth. The nurse there tells Kat not to do that as Monte gets pleasure from such things. Seeing Kat’s state, the nurse helps her by injecting morphine and some other drugs to make Monte talk.

After the dose, Monte thinks Kat is his sister Angie and reveals that he never killed Clint Donovan but just took a fall for it. At the same time, Stacy calls Kat and tells her that just the day before Josh left Kat, Josh had paid a visit to Monte in prison. In the end, Kat gets a message from Josh saying that it is not a good idea for them to talk. The new developments get Kat’s head spinning.

Missing You (2025) Episode 2 “With or Without You” Recap:

The episode opens with a dog breeder on a farm named Titus who gives a couple hell to let them adopt a dog. Through the conversation, Titus reveals that the woman was cheating on her husband. The news ruins the family, and Titus leaves the room with a smirk. The man Titus is also the one who is hiding Rishi in his barn. On the other hand, Kat rushes to Stagger’s house to give him the big news. However, Kat lies, saying that Monte Leburne wants to meet Kat; hence, Kat visits him in prison. Once again Kat is sure Calligan has something to do with the whole situation annoying Stagger. After that, Kat asks Stacy to find out where Josh is or get any contact information.

When Kat tells Aqua about Josh meeting Monte in prison, Aqua says Josh never mentioned anything to her. As Kat takes a subway to the station, a young guy stares at Kat. Furthermore, the boy has a picture of Kat on his phone. At the station, Kat talks to the press about Rishi. At the same time, Rishi is taken to meet Titus. He asks Rishi to do what he is told and his partner Vanessa will be saved. At the station, the boy from the subway, Brendan, asks to meet Kat to file a missing person report. Weirdly, Brendan knows information about Kat. The person Brendan wants to report missing is his mother, Dana. Briefly, Kat steps out as Charlie has some leads from Rishi’s laptop. They find Vanessa’s details on the laptop and try to find her.

Who visits Monte in prison along with Josh?

At this time, Titus asks Rishi to transfer vast amounts of money to a particular bank. Meanwhile, Stagger informs Kat that Monte Leburne died that morning and asks Kat to take the day off. When Kat goes home, she sees the house is a mess. Soon, Kat spots Brendan and chases him. When Kat catches up to Brendan, he reveals that Dana is dating Josh.

Unfortunately, there isn’t enough evidence to chase after Josh so Kat asks Brendan to inform her if he finds any leads. There is more bad news as Stacy does not find anything about Josh except his presence in the dating app. A while later Brendan asks Kat to check a CCTV footage of an ATM since that was the last time Dana made any transactions. In a hotel somewhere, Kat meets Tamsin from Monte’s prison, who reveals that, along with Josh, Stagger also met Monte. Immediately, Kat rushes to Terry Khol’s retirement party and confronts Stagger.

Stagger says Josh wanted to get a big scoop out of Monte’s case, which is why Stagger and Josh were at the prison. Since Kat would never forgive Josh for doing that, he probably left Kat knowing there was no future in the relationship. Additionally, Stagger says Monte didn’t reveal anything during that meeting.

When Stagger learns Kat did not visit the prison by the rules, Stagger suspends Kat for a while. At the station, Charlie finds the CCTV footage of Dana at the ATM. When Titus tries to access Rishi’s bank account, all the accounts are frozen. So Titus asks his men to get rid of Rishi. By then, Rishi had managed to get loose from the tied-up state and attack the kidnapper. In the end, though, Rishi was caught and burnt in a furnace. In the next scene, we see Stagger cleaning a blood-covered shirt. As Monte’s coffin is descended to the ground, Calligan watches the scene from afar.

Missing You (2025) Episode 3 “Never Too Much” Recap:

The episode opens with Kat visiting Aqua, where Kat is suspended and has nothing else to do. As Kat and Aqua talk, Aqua reveals that Josh had visited Aqua to say goodbye after a few months of leaving Kat. Six months ago, Josh was seen watching Aqua and Kat during a yoga class. Before Kat can say anything, Aqua apologizes and says she is trying to protect Kat.

By then, Stacy calls Kat to give some information on Josh. Another piece of information: Josh got into a bar fight just before he left Kat. But there isn’t anything else about Josh. Later, Kat asks Charlie to send Dana’s CCTV footage to Kat. Later, Stagger informs Nia about Kat’s suspension. Unfortunately, Charlie had sent case-related information to Kat by then.

Later, Kat calls Brendan to identify his mother, Dana, from the CCTV footage. Once Brendan confirms, Kat asks Brendan to check Dana’s other financial accounts to see if there is any transaction. Now, Brendan has more evidence about Josh, as he created a Facebook account with a different name. Soon after that, Josh deleted the account. When Kat gets to the station, she sneaks into the office as she cannot access anything in the station. Seeing Charlie’s laptop open, Kat takes a video of the other angle of the CCTV footage. When Charlie catches Kat, she tries to explain, but they end up arguing.

Why does Arthur believe Dana is on holiday?

Outside, Kat talks to Brendan and gets information about Dana’s usual way of traveling to the airport. After finding out the cab company’s name, Kat visits the company. There, Kat finds out that Dana had canceled the cab at the last minute as her boyfriend was going to bring a Bentley. In Titus’s building, Claude is confronted for making a woman withdraw cash from an ATM.

When Claude was called in, he was cleaning a Bentley. Since there is a CCTV camera, Titus gets Claude killed and Claude is burned in a furnace. Meanwhile, Brendan realizes there has been a massive transaction from Dana’s account, so Brendan calls his Uncle Arty (Arthur). Since bank details are confidential, Arthur cannot reveal anything to Brendan.

At Khol’s party, Kat brings up Monte Leburne, but Stagger stops Kat. When Brendan was on a call, someone hit him and took Brendan’s phone away. Now, the hospital calls Kat to care for Brendan. At the hospital, Brendan shares an anecdote from his childhood when Dana was strong enough to save Brendan from drowning. So, it’s Brendan’s time to be strong for Dana and himself.

They now visit Arthur. There, Arthur says Dana transferred money to a Swiss account since Dana is buying a house overseas and is on vacation. It so happens Arthur spoke to Dana the previous day. Furthermore, Arthur reveals that Dana’s boyfriend has proposed to Dana and that they will get married. As Kat walks to Charlie’s house, she feels like someone is following her.

Who attacked Brendan?

Thankfully, Kat is safe. Inside the house, Kat apologizes to Charlie and asks for his help. By then, Charlie already knew that Dana had never taken any flight that particular day. Later, Kat meets Stagger, who reveals something shocking. Finally, Kat can unravel the mysteries as Stagger reveals that Clint was working with Calligan. When Clint decided to back off, Calligan had Clint killed.

The most shocking thing for Kat was that her mother, Odette, knew about this. When Kat confronts Odette, she acknowledges that she is aware and sheds more light on the matter. Along with working with Calligan, Odette had heard rumors about Clint having an affair. As Kat gazes at the flat that Clint bought for Kat, Charlie calls to say a 9-year-old girl created the Facebook profile in Josh’s name.

Furthermore, the license plate to the Bentley is a duplicate. In another call, Kat is called to the police station, where Brendan’s attacker is caught. In a twist, we see Dana tied in Titus’ barn. Now, Stagger deletes Charlie’s request email to check the second set of fingerprints on Clint’s murder weapon. In the next scene, we see Saddie, a young girl, asked to clean up by Josh (assuming it is Josh calling out to Saddie as there is a picture of Josh and Sadie in Saddie’s room). At the station, Kat is shocked to see Aqua as Brendan’s attacker.

Missing You (2025) Episode 4 “Don’t Forget About Me” Recap:

The episode opens with Josh showing Aqua his ring for Kat. Currently, Kat is questioning Aqua at the station. So Aqua says she never intended to hurt Brendan, but because Stacy informed Aqua that Brendan is painting a bad image of Josh, Aqua intervened to protect Josh. Suddenly, Aqua starts to panic, so Kat brings her home to rest.

Later, Stacy arrives home and tells Kat that Stacy had spoken to Josh when he had come to the park during the yoga session. Since Kat was hurt because of what Josh did, Stacy asked Josh to leave Kat alone. Soon, Charlie informs Kat that the financial advisor has submitted suspicious activity to the Swiss account, which is the same one Dana paid for. Soon, they visited the financial advisor, Ashkan Chuback. It turns out Ashkan’s client is Rishi, and when Rishi asked to transfer money to the Swiss account, Ashkan got suspicious.

The reason for suspicion grew as Rishi was head over heels for a woman he met on the dating app, and soon after that, a considerable sum of money was transferred. Meanwhile, in the barn, Titus is angry with Dana for not revealing Brendan’s trust fund. However, Dana pleads that it is for Brendan’s future. On the other hand, Kat and Charlie realize that in both Rishi and Dana’s case, the problem is catfishing. This further proves that Josh is not involved. After doing some AI searches on Josh’s articles, Kat gets a lead. So Kat calls Stacy for help to track down Josh. Later, Kat visits a former cop who was working with Clint. There, Kat learns that the person Clint was sleeping with is called Parker.

Did Calligan kill Clint?

Titus is in a crisis as the Swiss bank account has been frozen. Now, Titus realizes that Kat may know something because she addressed Josh with his name, not the name Titus’s team gave. Furthermore, Kat is also the one handling Rishi’s case. Before leaving to harm Kat, Titus asks his men to kill Dana. Meanwhile, Stacy gives Josh’s location to Kat.

The location is an ice cream shop, and Kat waits to get a lead on Josh. Luckily, Kat bumps into Josh’s dead wife’s father and follows him. However, the man does not let Kat inside. There, Kat sees a little girl and recognizes her to be the 9-year-old girl Charlie was talking about. As Kat thinks, standing next to her car, someone puts a bag over Kat’s head and takes her away. Now Kat is brought to a museum, and Calligan waits for Kat. There, Calligan reveals that he did not kill Clint. Monte indeed killed two people for Calligan, but Monte knew not to drag Calligan into it.

A few days after the arrest, Monte asks to take the fall for another murder. This time, Calligan tells Kat that it was not just Clint doing the work for Calligan. But Clint had many members from the police force to do the job. The actual suspects for Kat is the cops. Later, Kat asks about Parker, so Callingan promises to help Kat find Parker. Once that is done, Kat and Calligan need to forget about each other.

Meanwhile, Dana attacks Titus’s men and runs away. The group looks for Dana. Elsewhere, Aqua meets Stacy, and they hug. Afar Stagger is watching them, and Aqua and Stagger lock their eyes. Seeing the little girl take her dog for a walk, Kat enquires about Josh. Now Josh arrives, ready to talk to Kat.

Missing You (2025) Episode 5 “Chain Reaction” Recap:

The episode opens with Josh and Kat coming face-to-face after so many years. Instead of small talk, Kat gets to the point and asks about Dana and the dating profile. Furthermore, Josh explained that he does not use social media, and Sadie created an account once, which Josh barely used. At first, Josh is disappointed as Kat is here for a case, but Josh reveals that Sadie’s mother has died and her father is living with them.

In the heat of the moment, Josh and Kat are about to kiss, but Kat backs off as she is upset because Josh knew everything and didn’t tell Kat. Instead, Josh just ghosted Kat. At the farm, Dana continues to hide in the woods but remembers seeing a phone in Titus’s house. Meanwhile, Titus watches Kat’s house and sees Brendan there.

Soon, Dana sneaks into the farm and overhears Titus’s men, who inform him about Dana’s escape. So Titus asks his men to get him Brendon’s number. At the same time, Dana sneaks into the house. Now Titus calls Brendan, asking him to come to the nearby blue van to save Dana. As Brendan is close to the van, Dana calls Brendan, but Dana is too late as Titus’s men take Brendan in and start beating him.

In the house, one of the goons catches Dana, but Dana kills the man with an axe. Just as Titus’s men take Brendan away, Kat appears but fails to chase after the van. Now Kat is back in the station, and they have narrowed down the area where Dana and Brendan could be. Once more, Stagger has a chat with Kat and informs Kat that Stagger paid Monte to take the fall.

Sadly, Stagger had to get a confession so Kat would not go digging for the truth and find out about Clint’s secrets. When Titus comes to the farm, his dog is covered in blood. Immediately, Titus enters the house and sees one of his goons dead. So Titus orders his assistant to set the whole place on fire. Now, Brendan is concerned about Dana.

As soon as Kat and Nia reach the location, Kat heads out to look for Brendan and Dana. They are met with the place burning. By then, Dana saves the rest of the people locked up in the stables. When Titus’s right-hand man hears the chains clunk, he enters the barn with a pistol. The freed victims attack the man, and Dana kills him. As Dana leaves with the others, Titus asks Dana to show herself as he has Brendan.

Since Kat is in the stables, she hears it, picks up the goon’s pistol, and rushes to the house. With Dana, Brendan, and Kat’s coordinated attack, they manage to attack Titus and arrest him. Meanwhile, Calligan gives Kat Parker’s address. When Kat reaches the house, she is taken aback as Parker is a man. Now, Parker expresses Clint and Parker’s position during that time.

Furthermore, Parker adds that Calligan knew about Clint and Parker. Using this as a reason, Calligan blackmailed Clint to work for him. When Clint wanted to back out, Calligan was ready to reveal the truth about Clint’s affair. So Clint also wanted to end things with Parker but couldn’t hold back. The last time Parker saw Clint was the day Clint died.

Missing You (2025) Ending Explained:

On the other hand, Josh waits for Kat, and they finally make up. Now Kat and Josh are officially dating again. One morning, Charlie calls and informs Kat that the other set of prints from Clint’s crime scene was from a bar fight in Scotland. Kat realizes Josh was in a bar fight as well and realizes Josh killed Clint. However, Josh explains that when Clint died, Aqua learned about Clint and Parker. When Clint visits Aqua, asking her not to say anything to Kat, things get out of control. In the beginning, Aqua tries to reason with Clint, to be honest with Kat and Odette. Suddenly, Aqua receives a call from Kat, and Clint loses his mind and starts attacking Aqua.

At the right moment, Josh arrives and tries to stop Clint, but accidentally, Clint is stabbed with a knife and dies. Before Clint takes his last breath, Stagger arrives, fulfilling Clint’s wish not to involve the police or tell Kat about the truth. So Stagger paid Monte to take the fall for Clint’s death. By doing this, Stagger protected everyone involved. That’s why Josh left, as he could not stand seeing Kat’s face every day, knowing what had happened. After listening to the truth, Kat no longer knows how to feel about the situation. All Kat does is sit next to Josh while she processes the information.

The one person who Kat wanted to believe was pure turned out to be a killer. But wait, Josh is not a villain because he tried to save Aqua and stop Clint from attacking anyone. The death was accidental. In the end, there is clarity as to why Aqua and Stagger meet eyes as Stagger, who seemed to look like a villain in the story, was protecting everyone in any way he could. Kat and Josh will work it out once Kat processes the truth.

However, the connection between Titus’s actions and Clint’s death remains unclear. While one case ultimately leads to the resolution of the other, the motivations behind Titus’s catfishing scheme are left unexplored, leaving that side of the story underdeveloped. The only apparent purpose of Titus’s actions seems to be to create a link between Kat and Josh. Beyond that, the two narratives feel largely disconnected. Although the show starts with an intriguing premise designed to keep viewers guessing, it quickly becomes predictable. For the most part, it’s easy to discern who the good guys are and who isn’t, which undermines the suspense.
