What is the show about?
During the Joseon Dynasty, Kang Dan-sim becomes known in the royal court for her clever mind and strong ambition. She uses her intelligence and manipulation to rise in status and becomes a royal concubine. Many fear her because she is ruthless. In the end, she is sentenced to death by poison. But her story does not end there. After her death, her soul wakes up in modern-day South Korea. She finds herself in the body of Shin Seo-ri, a little-known actress who usually plays small roles in historical dramas. As Dan-sim adjusts to this new world, she slowly takes control of Seo-ri’s life. Her bold and unpredictable nature helps her adapt quickly. She meets Cha Se-gye, a cold and powerful chaebol heir. Their relationship is tense and filled with conflict, slowly turning into a mix of love and hate. In this new life, Dan-sim sees a chance to change her fate.
