Stalked by My Stepsister (2023) Plot Summary and Movie Synopsis:
“Stalked by My Stepsister” opens with a woman lying dead while someone is placing a letter (probably a suicide note) in her hand. Later we are introduced to Madison and her running partner cum boyfriend, Ian. Madison has asthma, and she fails to make a good run because of that. Madisonโs mother, Laura, has recently married a millionaire named Kent. She is trying to fit into this new family. Just when she is putting in so much effort to get to know Kent, she is surprised by her stepsister, Devon.
Kent and Laura think that it is best to introduce Devon as a surprise to Madison so that they can bond easily as stepsisters. However, it does not go as it was supposed to because Madison needs time. Devon, on the other hand, seems weirdly friendly as she does not leave Madisonโs sight for once. Madison goes to the coffee shop where she works with her best friend, Gia.
How does Devon Start to Frame Madison?
Gia and Devon do not start on a good note, as Gia thinks Devon is weird. She even jokes about it once in a while, which Devon overhears from a distance. At the same time, Devon is constantly planning one plot after another to make Laura and Madison disappear from her life. One day, she executes a deadly accident that could have caused Laura some serious damage. Devon has planned it in such a way that everyone would believe that it is Madisonโs fault, but Madison didn’t do anything wrong.
It was Devon who had removed the lock from the hinge, which caused the ladder to collapse, resulting in Lauraโs accident. Devon even tries to put a pillow on Laura while she is asleep. Thankfully, Kent comes home, which stops her from doing that. Later, when Devon hears that Kent has some important clients coming in, and one of them is seriously allergic to seafood, she starts plotting a new plan to frame Madison. Since Laura is not well, Madison volunteers herself and Gia to make the dinner for Kentโs clients.
When the day arrives, Laura and Kent give Madison a necklace with her father’s picture carved inside it. Devon sees this and becomes so jealous that she puts some seafood inside the chicken dish. This results in some serious health issues for Kentโs client. Thankfully, the doctors come to the rescue. However, Laura does not hold herself back from saying how disappointed she is with Madison, as she has successfully robbed Kent of an opportunity.
What Happens to Gia?

Right after the incident with the seafood, Madison and Devon both point fingers at Gia, thinking that she has made matters worse by spoiling the food. However, soon, Gia calls Madison and asks her to meet her in the library because she does not want to talk in her house. Devon hears about this from outside Madisonโs room. She goes to meet with Gia right then. When Madison goes to the library, she finds Gia in a very critical condition, and she is admitted to the hospital.
The detective comes to question Madison about the incident. Before he can talk to any of the family members, Devon playfully frames Madison as a potential criminal in front of him. Kent and Laura fight over Madisonโs previous police record. But Laura tries to make him realize that she was depressed during that time because she had recently lost her father. Anyway, when the fight extends, Devon seems to be very happy about it. Later, Madison accidentally finds Kentโs picture with his ex-fiance Teresa, who had killed herself, according to the police.
What does Devon do to Maureen?
However, in the picture, the name Maureen was written by Gia. Madison tries to find out all about Maureen on the internet and leaves her laptop open, from which Devon learns about her. The following morning, Devon hides the canister of Madisonโs inhaler, which eventually puts her in the hospital. Maureen comes to the hospital to meet her and tells her that Teresa is her best friend. She even suspects that Devon has killed Teresa and asks Madison to keep her distance from her as much as possible.
Later, in the parking space, Maureen is killed by Devon. She leaves Madisonโs necklace, which she had robbed earlier from the hospital cabin, only to frame Madison once again. The following day, when Madison comes back to the house, the detective finds Madisonโs necklace near Maureenโs body. The detective heads toward Madison while she goes to work. Madison is happy to know that Laura is planning to go away from town with Kent, as she thinks the more she keeps away from Devon, the better.
