Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping experience as the upcoming action-thriller, “The Bricklayer,” is set to explode onto screens with an all-star cast and the skilled direction of Renny Harlin, the mind behind “Die Hard 2.” Starring the charismatic Aaron Eckhart, known for his compelling performance in “The Dark Knight,” alongside  Nina Dobrev from “The Vampire Diaries” and the talented Tim Blake Nelson of “O Brother, Where Art Thou?,” this film promises a riveting combination of suspense, intrigue, and high-octane action. Today, we have the first trailer for “The Bricklayer,” released by Verticle.

In “The Bricklayer,” a renegade insurgent wreaks havoc by manipulating the CIA, orchestrating the assassination of foreign journalists to frame the agency. As global sentiment turns against the U.S., the CIA faces a crisis, compelling them to coax Steve Vail (played by Eckhart) out of retirement. Vail, renowned for his exceptional skills and rebellious nature, is entrusted with the mission to exonerate the agency and expose the intricate international conspiracy. In the pursuit of justice, Vail must grapple with his own complex history, navigating a web of deception to salvage the reputation of the United States on the world stage.

Based on the novel by Paul Lindsay (pen name: Noah Boyd), the film also stars Clifton Collins Jr and Ilfenesh Hadera. The film is produced by by Jeffrey Greenstein, Yariv Lerner, Jonathan Yunger, Heidi Jo Markel, and Robert Van Norden and Executive produced by Avi Lerner, Boaz Davidson, Erik Lindsay, Tanner Mobley, and Les Weldon. Hannah Weg and Matt Johnson have co-written the screenplay basing it on Boyd’s book.

The Bricklayer will be released in theatres and on-demand on January 5th, 2024
