2024 Razzie Awards Nominations: So why do you think honors, tags, and awards exist? To celebrate the win, motivate people, reward their work, etc. Talking about the film industry, the Oscars Award is the one category of honor that everyone dreams of. Owning an Academy Award trophy indeed means the world to celebs. It not only adds to their glory but also is a souvenir for their great work.

In contrast, there is one more award category that serves as a reality check for the poor performances of the actors, directors, and so on. It is called The Golden Raspberry Awards (a.k.a Razzie Award), which is a parody award show that honors the worst of Cinematic failures. Co-founded by UCLA film graduates and film industry veterans John J. B. Wilson and Mo Murphy, the satirical award ceremony has occurred for four decades. Interestingly, the Razzie Award winners are announced before the Academy Award ceremony.

Celebrities are nominated in nine categories by Razzie Voters, including film critics, journalists from the US and two dozen foreign countries, as well as 1179 movie buffs.

Sylvester Stallone is the most awarded actor ever with 10 awards, and this year, his film ‘Expend4bles’ leads the nominations.
