Parasyte: The Grey is based on a manga called Parasyte by Hitoshi Iwaaki, which Kodansha published. It is a zombie-like horror series that revolves around the battle between the parasite and the humans. One day, a parasite falls from the sky and tries to enter Jung Su-In. But the parasite fails to take over her brain. Su-In and the parasite are co-existing. The parasite starts to take over the human brain. The humans taken over by the parasite form their group to fight the unaffected humans. The unaffected humans decide to take charge and clean up the parasites. The show comes from the creator of Hellbound and the director of Train to Busan, Yeon Sang-ho.

Lovely Runner is a romantic comedy about Ryu Seon Jae and Im Sol. Ryu Seon Jae has been a popular celebrity since his debut and comes across as someone who has the perfect and ideal life. Im Sol is Ryu Seon Jae’s fan, and she meets up with an accident that forces her to give up on her dreams. She seeks comfort in listening to Ryu Seon Jae’s music. Im Sol hears terrible news one day that because of the pressure, Ryu Seon Jae has died. Im Sol finds a way to go back to the past, befriends Ryu Seon Jae, and makes sure he does not die. She tells him to hold on to his impulse of dying for another day so she can come back and rescue him. The show stars Byeon Woo Seok from Strong Girl Namsoon and Kim Hye Yoon from Snowdrop.

Blood Free| April 10 | Where to Watch: Disney+

Blood Free is a sci-fi suspense thriller drama. CEO Yoon Ja-Yoo and On San co-founded a company called BF. On San has a Ph.D. in physiology. The company’s main focus is to make a genetically engineered cultured meat market. Since Humans are imperfect rulers, they need to break the chains, which also include the food chain. The idea is to break free from the high consumption of killing of animals for meat consumption.

This is the beginning of BF. Moreover, the top of the pyramid ecosystem and advanced technology come at them as a weapon. To become the dominant species, they need to use lab-grown meat. However, there are people working within BF and outside who have their doubts about the product, and in the end, it is a chase to see who will survive. The show stars Lee Hee Joon from A Killer Paradox and Han Hyo Joo from Moving.

The Crown Prince Has Disappeared| April 13 | Where to Watch: MBN

The Crown Prince Has Disappeared is a historical romantic comedy-drama. The drama is set in the Joseon era. The Crown Prince Yi Gun has disappeared, and everyone is panicking. They searched through the entire Joseon but couldn’t find him. The Crown Prince has been kidnapped by a woman named Choi Myung Yoon. They are on the run, and they start to bond to ease awkwardness and tension. Obviously, the more they bond, the Crown Prince begins to wonder if she has the qualities to become the Princess, considering she has dared to kidnap a Crown Prince. The show stars Kim Jun Myeon AKA Exo’s Suho from Behind Your Touch.

Chief Detective 1958 is a prequel to the series Chief Inspector, which aired from 1971 to 1989. This show takes the viewers further back to the 1960’s. Park Young-Han is a confident detective who has arrived in Seoul. He is famous for catching petty thieves, but in Seoul, he is put through challenges as he and his team need to conduct investigations and find killers from murder cases and more. Park Young-Han is determined to protect the weak and hunt down the bad guys. The series stars Lee Je Hoon from Taxi Driver and Lee Dong Hwi from Reply 1988.
