The European Film Academy has announced the nominations for the 38th European Film Awards, naming Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value as this year’s top contender. The film leads with five nominations, followed by Sirāt with four, and Sound of Falling and It Was Just an Accident with three each.

The awards ceremony will take place on Jan. 17 in Berlin, Germany.
