Season two tells a fresh story with a new cast. Carey Mulligan and Oscar Isaac play a married couple who are the general manager of a country club and his wife. Cailee Spaeny and Charles Melton play a younger engaged couple who work at the club. The two couples get caught in a tense feud that pushes everyone to their limits.

The soundtrack for the new season is just as sharp as the first. The songs range from modern pop anthems to alternative indie tunes and drum and bass classics. Finneas O’Connell, the award-winning musician and producer, scored the entire season with original music. Showrunner Lee Sung Jin hand-picked him for the job. Lee says, “Finneas is the brilliant mind behind most of the music that has soundtracked my personal life over the last decade”. Finneas says he watched every scene many times. “I probably watched every scene 100 times while I scored the show, and I felt it every time,” he said.

The Original Score by Finneas

Finneas O’Connell is best known for his Grammy and Oscar-winning work with his sister Billie Eilish. He wrote an original 32-track score for Beef season two. The soundtrack album was released on April 16, 2026. It is available on streaming platforms through A24 Music. The lead single from the album is called “Vicious Thoughts.”

Finneas wanted the music to match the fancy country club setting. “I found synths that I could play and make the sound like swarms of bees,” he told Variety. He also recorded sprinkler systems at a golf course near his house to use for rhythm. The score features a mix of electronic sounds and more emotional pieces. Lee Sung Jin, the show’s creator, praised Finneas for turning dark emotions into beautiful music. Lee said Finneas has “an incredible ability to make the darkest emotions sound so achingly beautiful”.

The Beef season two soundtrack is more than just background noise. The songs reflect the characters’ inner lives and the show’s tense mood. Whether you are a fan of 2010s electronic bangers or thoughtful indie pop, there is something here for you. The soundtrack is a big part of what makes the show so good. Listen to it while you watch the series on Netflix.
