Movies that will be streaming in July 2023 are far from perfect adventures. In fact, ever since the WGA strike took its hold, it seems like the big streaming giants are holding back on releasing their content in the fear that they will soon be left with nothing. This list, however, is specially curated for those of you who don’t wish to spend your time beginning and stopping movies midway.

While we can’t ensure all of these movies that will be released on streaming in July 2023 will be safe bets, we’d like to think that most of them would be. 

8. Gray Matter

Directed by Meko Winbush, Gray Matter is about Ayla and her daughter Aurora as they find themselves blessed with extraordinary superhuman abilities. Set against a backdrop of a dystopian future, the movie is supposed to delve into the depths of human strength, resilience, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child. As Ayla grapples with her own inner demons, she discovers that her past holds the key to unlocking their true potential. 

7. Bird Box Barcelona

A spin-off that uses the premise of Netflix’s humongous hit Bird Box and brings it to the Spanish contours, Bird Box Barcelona is set In the wake of a cataclysmic event that obliterates humanity, leaving only a desolate and eerie world behind. Seen through the eyes of Sebastián (or should I say closed eyes?) and his young daughter as they navigate the haunting ruins of Barcelona to forge a path of survival, the film, much like the original, shrouds in mystery, casting an ominous pall over the desolated city. 

As Sebastián and his daughter bear witness to the devastating aftermath, they discover that anyone who glimpses the entity succumbs to a harrowing compulsion, driving them to take their own lives. With this terrifying realization, Sebastián is burdened with the immense responsibility of protecting his daughter while uncovering the truth behind the enigmatic force that decimated their world.

6. The Out-Laws

In the new Netflix rom-com “The Out-Laws,” Owen Browning (Adam Devine) is a meticulous and by-the-book bank manager eagerly preparing to tie the knot with his beloved Parker (Nina Dobrev). However, chaos ensues when Owen’s bank is unexpectedly targeted by the notorious Ghost Bandits during the week leading up to his wedding.
