American actress Cameron Diaz is in final negotiations to star alongside Keanu Reeves in the upcoming project directed by Jonah Hill. The feature project Hill is helming is titled “Outcome.” Hill is the core element of the film, as he won’t just be behind the camera to provide his directorial vision. He has also co-written the film with Ezra Woods and will also star in it.
Jonah Hill is best known for his comedic films and his Oscar-nominated performance in Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street,” making his feature directorial debut with 2018’s well-received coming-of-age drama “Mid90s.” He followed that up with Stutz, 2022’s critically acclaimed documentary that tackled mental health issues.

The upcoming film starring Cameron Diaz centers around the life of Reef (portrayed by Reeves), a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip. Produced by Matt Dines, Ali Goodwin, and Hill under their Strong Baby banner, the project landed at Apple Studios a year ago. The film reunites Hill and Apple Original Films, which is also developing a Grateful Dead biopic with Martin Scorsese’s Sikelia Productions. The film will be directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski.
Diaz’s appearance in “Outcome” will mark her first role since Sony’s Annie in 2014. The actress will return to the big screen after a long hiatus from acting. Moreover, she is all set to mark her strong comeback by starring this year in the Netflix action comedy “Back in Action” opposite Jamie Foxx.
Diaz’s other film credits include “Bad Teacher,” “The Mask,” and “There’s Something About Mary.” Apart from being an incredible actress, Diaz is also an author. She is the author of the New York Times bestseller The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body, followed by The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength, and the Privilege of Time in 2017. In 2020, Cameron and serial entrepreneur Katherine Power launched Avaline, a collection of organically farmed wines.
Additionally, the lead protagonist of “Outcome,” Keanu Reeves, is a renowned actor in the Hollywood industry who is prominently known for his role as John Wick in the John Wick franchise.
