If you have followed the show up until now, “Dead to Me” Season 3, in particular its lead star Christina Applegate looks pretty different in the first trailer. For once, the Netflix dark comedy, which is now in its final season after airing in 2020, feels quite near to reality.

That is to say that the creators and its lead star are not washing over the fact that Christina Applegate is undergoing treatment for multiple sclerosis. Applegate came to the realization that she has MS in the summer of 2021, leading to pushing the production of the third and final season up by 5 months.

However, in a recent interview with The New York Times, she said that she is anticipating fan reactions when the third season of Dead to me returns on November 17th because her appearance is pretty down and real. She has gained 40 pounds and walks with a cane and she says that she doesn’t want to hide behind any sort of prosthetics to make it all better. Sounding pretty pissed, she added “If people hate it, if people love it, if all they can concentrate on is, ‘Ooh, look at the cripple,’ that’s not up to me. I’m sure that people are going to be, like, ‘I can’t get past it.’ Fine, don’t get past it, then. But hopefully, people can get past it and just enjoy the ride and say goodbye to these two girls.”

Season 3 of Dead to Me is almost here. The Black Comedy, which returns for a final season will definitely be about more snarky adventures, and dead bodies all abound.

According to Showrunner Liz Feldman’s Instagram update, the season wrapped production in April 2022.

While the show could have used more seasons to keep fans engaged, Feldman said that she is pretty content with the show ending with Season 3, mostly because the ending of the show dawned on her long-long ago and she is pretty happy with how it has shaped up.

Dead to Me Season 3 Cast:

Christina Applegate, in spite of her diagnosis, returns for Season 3 of Dead to Me as Jan. Tagging along is Lina Cardellini as Judy. Fans who were happy with James Marsden’s Steve – Jen’s cruel husband’s goodbye in the first season were really happy to see his identical twin brother Ben in Season 2. Season 3 finds Ben returning, after almost killing Jen in the second season.

Dead to Me Season 3 Plot Details:

The ending of Dead to Me Season 2 saw Jen and Judy getting involved in more disasters as Ben crashed into them breaking his sobriety. The ending saw Judy seeming fine, but Jen struggled to walk as she got knocked out before the curtain came down. We do know she is alive, but what the show has stored for her is still pretty unknown.

As far as the plot is concerned, it might focus on Ben’s guilt after the incident happened. While no one other than him knows that it was he who hit the girls, there are definitely some moral dilemmas that will be tossed in the air.

If it’s to be speculated, Season 3 will probably backtrack and go the Season 1 way with Jen and Judy trying to come out of the self-made mess they often find themselves in. Ben will be looking at some kind of coverup to make them understand that he was elsewhere when the accident took place.

Steve’s dead body might just be the actual turning point of Season 3 since we last saw it being dug up by a dog in the forest. To add to all that, we know Jen’s son Charlie is now aware of more things than he should be, having found the letter that his mother wrote to Judy.

Is there a Trailer for Dead to Me Season 3 starring Christina Applegate?

Yes, there’s a trailer! You can watch it above.

From the looks of it, the Netflix show makes the stake go higher, with absolutely berzerk drama that follows up on the crazy premise that the other two seasons put forward. The trailer is both tense and moving and we expect no less from a finale.
