Prime Video has unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming action-packed spy thriller, Citadel. Helmed by the Russo Brothers and featuring an all-star cast including Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra, the series promises to be a thrilling ride.
Richard Madden, known for his role in Game of Thrones, and Quantico star Priyanka Chopra play two agents of the Citadel who have lost all memory of their past lives. However, when a new world order threatens to rise, they are called back into action to save the world. The trailer also features Stanley Tucci in a key role.
The first look also gives us a way into the world of Citadel, the once mighty spy agency that has now been toppled, and its agents left with no memory of their past. A new power has risen in their absence – the dangerous and influential Manticore. With plans to establish a New World Order, the agents must dig deep to recall their training and take down their adversaries.
Developed by a talented team of writers and filmmakers, Citadel will be led by show creators, Josh Appelbaum and Bryan Oh – both of whom have extensive experience in creating popular and critically acclaimed TV shows and movies. They are joined by an impressive roster of writers, including David Weil, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg, Jesse Alexander, Melissa Glenn, and Angela Russo-Otstot.
The series will be brought to life by the skilled direction of Newton Thomas Sigel, Brian Kirk, and Anthony & Joe Russo, who are known for their ability to craft compelling action packed stories.
For Prime Video and the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, Citadel is a high-stakes production with an impressive line-up of executive producers, including Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, Scott Nemes, and showrunner David Weil. The series is executive produced by Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg, Newton Thomas Sigel, and Patrick Moran.
Apart from featuring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden, and Stanley Tucci, the series also co-stars Lesley Manville, Osy Ikhile, Ashleigh Cummings, Roland Møller, and Caoilinn Springall.
The first two episodes of the show will release on the streamer on April 28th, with subsequent episodes to release each week.
Citadel premieres on Prime Video on April 28th, 2023.
