Jurassic World 4 is in Development: The dinosaurs are once again back to rule the Earth. Cinematically confirming, a fresh piece from the Jurassic Park franchise has been in the making, and after two years, fans will get to witness the thunder of the great giants. However, the upcoming flick has come up with various amendments, like the departure of the familiar faces of the franchise. But some things remain constant, and here it is: the writer of the film, David Koepp.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Koepp is officially the writer of the all-new Jurassic World film. The writer’s history with the franchise dates long back to the original 1993 Jurassic Park film, as he is the one who penned it down along with its 1997 sequel, Jurassic Park: The Lost World.
Although nothing much has been revealed about the film, the jewel of Universal’s film, the Jurassic franchise, is now bringing the all-new tale of the dinosaur world. Hence, it’s called the new Jurassic era this time.
With changes embraced by the Jurassic franchise this time, fans may also get to see some new faces in the upcoming film, which implies that the characters played by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard would also get replaced. Moreover, details on who will be helming the camera this time are also not yet confirmed. However, veteran producer Frank Marshall will be producing the film.
Additional details about the film include Steven Spielberg’s contribution to the film as executive producer. Also, the executive VP of production development Sara Scott and the creative executive of production development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project for Universal.
As seen in the last Jurassic Park film, Jurassic World Dominion, by the end of the film, dinosaurs and humans ended up coexisting on Earth. Hence, the upcoming film could pick up where it left off. However, since the new movie is being described as a ‘new Jurassic era,’ it’s difficult to make assumptions. Furthermore, since the last film didn’t perform well at the box office, the makers have an opportunity with the upcoming film to revive the franchise by compensating for past mistakes.
The Jurassic Park franchise is a renowned one that certainly needs no introduction. Ever since its inception, it has managed to gain a dedicated fan base. Over the span of three decades, six movies have been made, which have successfully earned more than $6 billion worldwide.
The original Jurassic Park film, which was released in 1993, is based on Michael Crichton’s 1990 novel of the same name. Since Jurassic World 4 is already in the works, its release is anticipated in 2025.
