Netflix shares a release window for ‘Sex Education’ Season 4: The dramedy will return new cast additions

Netflix’s beloved show – Sex Education, is ready to return to streaming with a brand-new, exciting season. Season 4 sets its release window in the Fall of this year. No particular window has been announced just yet. Nevertheless, the fans of this acclaimed comedy-drama will be excited knowing their favorite show is much closer to a release.

What happened in Sex Education Season 3?

Sex Education Season 3 ended with several heartbreaking moments. After enjoying the early weeks of their lustful dating, Eric broke up with Adam. His kiss with another guy in Nigeria made him rethink his priorities. However, that was not the only couple who left things on a tragic note. Maeve decided to head off to the U.S. for a big opportunity for her education, which put her and Otis’s relationship on hold.

With Jean having given birth to a baby, she and Otis tried to adjust to this new life with the hope of seeking some help together. Meanwhile, Moordale secondary school shut down because of a lack of funds. So the students look need to look for another school. They go to Cavendish Sixth Form College and realize the conformities they will have to deal with.

Who will return for Season 4 of Sex Education?

Besides the central cast of Asa Butterfield, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, and Gillian Anderson, the returning cast will also include Connor Swindells, Alistair Petrie, Chinenye Ezeudu, Kedar Williams-Stirling, George Robinson, Dua Saleh, Mimi Keene, and Samantha Spiro.

Simone Ashley, Tanya Reynolds, Patricia Allison, and Rakhee Thakrar decided to depart from the series. Earlier, Gatwa and Mackey also revealed their plans to leave the series after the fourth season.

Which new cast members will be a part of Sex Education Season 4?

Sex Education Season 4 has some interesting additions to the cast, including Dan Levy (Schitt’s Creek) & Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim). Jodie will play a character related to Eric, whereas Dan will play Maeve’s American tutor Thomas Molloy.

Besides the two, the upcoming cast additions also include Thaddea Graham, Marie Reuther, Alexandra James, Anthony Lexa, Felix Mufti, and Imani Yahshua.

What will possibly happen in Sex Education Season 4?

While speaking with Glamour, the series creator Laurie Nunn said, “I’ve started thinking about series four, but obviously, we won’t know whether that will be a reality until series three lands and people respond to it. I always write with the hope that I’ll get more opportunity to keep writing these characters because I love writing them so much, and I feel like they’ve got so many more stories in them.”

We can hope for some developments in the narrative related to Joy’s paternity and Hope’s return. Besides, with Dan Levy and Jodie Turner-Smith’s inclusion in the cast, the storylines of Maeve and Eric have a lot of potential.
