Killing All My Sisters (2024) Plot Summary & Movie Synopsis:
“Killing All My Sisters” opens on the first day of college. Emily and Jenna’s mothers (Allie Stevens and Dariah) arrive at Rothmore University to drop their daughters off at college. On the campus, a sorority girl named Maddison hands out fliers to Emily and Jenna, asking them to join Beta Kappa Epsilon sorority. However, Allie is concerned as sororities sometimes serve alcohol to underage kids. However, Madison and the President of the Sorority, Brittney, assure the mothers that the sorority is strict. The thing that convinces the mothers is the sorority believes in giving back to society, and many members of society are in respectable positions today.
That night, Jenna and Emily enter BKE’s house and meet Dana. Suddenly, Dana is called to a private meeting with the senior sororities. Brittney is annoyed with Dana as she has betrayed Brittney by dating Spencer (Brittney’s ex-boyfriend). As a punishment, Brittney and others force Dana to drink a bottle of liquor. After that, Dana leaves the party and is on a call blaming someone for Brittney finding out.
As Dana walks home, someone hits her head, and she falls to the ground. The next day, Emily meets a boy named William who writes for the college paper. They both seem to be into each other at the first meeting. Jenna is on a Tennis scholarship, and Emily needs to push Jenna to attend classes. Since Jenna and Emily are getting late for their class, Emily takes Jenna on a shortcut, but they find a dead Dana on the ground.
Why does Emily yell at Maddison?
In Allie’s house, her neighbor Ryan helps Allie with the studio and house landscaping and repairs. A shaken and upset Emily arrives home telling her mother about Dana’s death. Meanwhile, Maddison concocts a false narrative to shield the sorority from responsibility for Dana’s death, shifting the blame onto a rival sorority by accusing them of serving alcohol.
After sharing her grief with her mother, Emily asks Allie to date Ryan as it is obvious Ryan likes Allie. There is a vigil held for Dana, and there Jenna meets Spencer, and they hit it off. However, Brittney notices this and is upset. It’s Pledge Week, and the new girls need to pass some tests to be accepted into the sorority. As a part of the first test, the girls are blindfolded and taken to a rooftop.
There, they are all forced to drink a sip of alcohol while blindfolded. With the blindfold still on, each girl is taken to a rooftop ledge and is asked to trust the sisters and fall back. When Jenna’s turn comes, she initially feels safe but is gripped by fear as she suddenly realizes the perilous spot she’s standing in.
Next is Emily’s turn, and she almost falls from the ledge. So Emily yells at the girls for doing something dangerous and leaves. The next day, Brittney visits Emily apologizes for what happened, and promises not to give Emily alcohol or do risky things. There is a boys sorority called Alpha Kappa Pi and BKE is a sister sorority of AKP. The main member of AKP is Spencer. Most of the time BKE and AKP have combined parties.
What is the final test to join the sorority?
This is the first combined party of BKE and AKP. Suddenly, the lights go off, and Emily uses her cell phone torch. Unfortunately, Emily sees Spencer and Maddison coming out of a room. Later, Emily overhears other sorority girls talking about Brittney being touchy about who Spencer dates. At the same time, Spencer and Jenna are kissing. Later, Emily tells Jenna to forget about Spencer because of Brittney. After convincing Jenna, Emily gives Spencer a piece of her mind. The next day, the new sorority girls are asked to clean up the Alpha boys’ house. There, Spencer asks Emily to clean the attic and flirts with Jenna. Suddenly, the lights go off, and Emily hits her head and falls unconscious. Luckily, Emily is revived, and everyone asks Emily to go back to the room and rest.
The next day, Brittney asks Maddison to send a warning to Jenna as she is casually dating Spencer. Later, Brittney asks Emily to inform Jenna to call Maddison. The suspicious part is Jenna does not meet Emily at the tennis court for practice. That night, Jenna comes to the room at midnight and does not reveal who she was with the entire day.
The following day, Jenna and Emily fight about Jenna dating Spencer. So Emily reveals about Spencer sleeping with Madison but asks Jenna not to say anything to Brittney. The last test for the sorority girls is held that night as they are locked in Dean Collins’s office. Now, Maddison reports a break-in into the Dean’s Office and leaves. The girls try and escape, but the campus security chase after the girls. After some struggle, the girls escape from the security.
What do the sorority girls do to Jenna?
The next day, Jenna is excited to be a part of BKE, but Emily wants nothing to do with the sorority. The conversation turns into a fight as Jenna tells Emily that she needs the sorority for connections as Jenna does not have ‘mommy’s money and connections’ like Emily does. Meanwhile, Ryan asks Allie out on a date.
Emily comes home, informing Allie about the fight with Jenna and quitting the sorority. Furthermore, Emily avoids telling Allie much about the dangerous things the sorority is doing. Now Jenna is officially a part of BKE. Later that day, Spencer visits Jenna, but Jenna shuts Spencer out. Unfortunately, Brittney sees Spencer and Jenna talking. Immediately, Brittney meets Jenna and asks Jenna not to bring her phone for the initiation that night.
At the location, there are Alpha boys as well. Now Brittney, Maddison, and others ask Jenna to take off her sweatshirt, blindfold Jenna, and take her to a corner. There, Brittney says Jenna sleeping with Spencer is a betrayal and she should be punished. However, Jenna denies sleeping with Spencer. At that moment, Spencer tries to rescue Jenna, but Brittney says something to Spencer, and he leaves. After that, the sorority girls leave. Now Emily comes back to the dorm and finds Jenna’s phone but can’t find her anywhere. Instinctively, Emily reaches BKE’s house and asks Brittney for Jenna, but Brittney denies seeing Jenna.
Killing All My Sisters (2024) Movie Ending Explained:
Next, Emily reaches the Alpha Boys house and finds Jenna’s sweatshirt in Spencer’s truck. So Emily takes a photo of it. After finding out where Spencer is, Emily confronts him, but he denies seeing Jenna and asks Emily to talk to the sorority girls. Angered, Emily threatens to report to the campus security, so Spencer once again asks Emily to talk to the sorority girls. Emily informs Allie about the situation, and Allie informs Dariah. At the campus security cabin, Brittney presses charges against Spencer. In the process, Brittney also says Spencer harassed Brittney because Emily found Jenna’s sweatshirt. Now, Emily reveals that Madison is also sleeping with Spencer.
What happens to Beta Kappa Epsilon?
Through the conversation, Emily finds out where Jenna was seen last, so she takes William to Johnson’s Farm. On the way, Emily informs Allie about the location as well. At Johnson’s Farm Emily and William split and look for Jenna. Soon, Emily finds a wounded Jenna, and someone hits William in the head. Now Jenna tells Emily everything that has happened.
By then, Dariah finds a wounded William. Meanwhile, Maddison stops Emily and Jenna. So Emily tells Maddison that she has revealed everything to Brittney. As Maddison is about to hit Emily, Allie jumps in. Everyone leaves Johnson’s Farm safely. The next semester, the mothers leave their daughters in college, and William asks Emily out. The sorority is shut down, and the police investigate Maddison as they have complaints from Jenna and Olivia about Maddison’s attacks as well as Dana’s phone records.
The ending lacks excitement, as key conclusions are merely narrated by William rather than shown. A more compelling finale could have featured a showdown between Brittney and Maddison. Considering Maddison’s deadly obsession with anyone who approaches Spencer and Brittney’s insecurities, a clash between these two characters would have added intrigue and intensity. The story fails to deliver a definitive conclusion, with William simply stating that the police have opened an investigation. Unfortunately, the film doesn’t have the gripping edge of a true thriller to justify leaving things unresolved. A more concrete ending would have been satisfying.
The culprit is fairly easy to identify, especially after Emily catches Spencer and Maddison together. Spencer’s character is particularly frustrating—despite knowing Brittney’s volatile nature, he continues to hook up with sorority sisters and other women, adding unnecessary drama. The acting feels shallow, making this movie more of a casual, predictable watch than a truly engaging thriller.
