Kristen Stewart claims that Greta Gerwig holds the potential to change her decision to join a film

The Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn’t need any introduction. It’s a renowned superhero franchise, and to be a part of it is still a dream for many actors. However, Kristen Stewart is certainly not one among them. Recently, during an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast (via IndieWire), the actress claimed that to see her as part of the MCU is a far-fetched dream. However, she could rethink it if Greta Gerwig helmed the Marvel film. Stewart said,

“I will likely never do a Marvel movie. That sounds like a f*cking nightmare, actually. If Greta Gerwig asked me to do a Marvel movie, then I would do it.”

According to Stewart, the kind of films she envisions herself in doesn’t count for Marvel’s cinematic style. The actress pointed out that the MCU isn’t known for its auteurist vehicles, and that’s the reason she will never be a part of it. Expressing her opinion on MCU films, Stewart said,

“You’d have to put so much money and so much into one person, and it doesn’t happen. And so therefore what ends up happening is this algorithmic, weird experience where you can’t feel personal at all about it.”

It’s not unknown that Stewart is an incredible actress who has demonstrated her acting chops in numerous incredible films, including Twilight, Love Lies Bleeding, Snow White and the Huntsman, and more.

Stewart is ready to commence her first directorial feature, The Chronology Of Water. The actress is still looking for producers who will support her desire for full creative control on her debut film. Gerwig has moved on from the success of record-breaking box office hit Barbie and shifted her focus to her next project. The filmmaker is currently working on her upcoming project, Chronicles of Narnia.
