Evilive (Season 1) Episodes 5 & 6 Recap & Ending Explained: In episodes 5 and 6 of Evillive (Season 1), we see Dong-soo and Do-young’s relationship deepen as they continue to work together on the online casino business. Chairman Moon, driven by a desire to clear his son’s name, begins to unravel the truth about Do-young and Dong-soo in their evil plot. The ending of episode 6 suggests that Dong-soo is slowly embracing his dark side. He is willing to commit crimes to protect his loved ones and to get revenge on those who have wronged him.

Evilive (Season 1), Episode 5 Recap:
The episode begins with Dong-soo and Do-young sharing a meal after a successful trial. Dong-soo asks him about taking over the online casino business. Dong-soo agrees to help but on one condition. He would quit this business and end their relationship for good once he finishes setting up the business. Do-young agrees to the deal.
Dong-soo meets up with Beom-jae and tells him that he has decided to leave the country forever after this job is done. The amount they will make for it will be enough to pay off their debt and start a new life. Beom-jae is unhappy to take this on as it’s illegal, but Dong-soo convinces him to go ahead. Dong-soo sets up a meeting with his ex-client and asks for his help to set up a website along with Beom-jae.
He also gets personal details about all the players from the game of cards from him. Beom-jae is saddened to see the lengths his brother is going to make this work. Dong-soo gives Do-young and his team a pitch. He tells them everything that is required to start the business. He also gives them a plan to convert the game money into actual money. Subsequently, Do-young asks Dong-soo to speed up the opening of this business.
Things were going smoothly, but the programmer was suddenly not reachable. Beom-jae is looking for him in all the gambling houses and finally manages to find him. Dong-soo arrives and drives them, and Dong-soo threatens the programmer. Beom-jae is fearful to see this side of his brother. Meanwhile, Attorney Moon is trying everything he can to clear his son’s name and find who is behind all this.
Attorney Moon and Park Chung-ho have a meeting, and Chang-ho is rude and disrespectful to Attorney Moon as he feels he has secured his place in the upcoming election because of Attorney Moon’s son. Chang-ho also reminds him that his position is going to be unstable as well. Meanwhile, Attorney Moon gets a lead from Do-young’s former number two man. He has a grudge against Do-young, and he tells Attorney Moon that all this was Do-young’s doing and Dong-soo was involved in it as well.
Do-young tells Dong-soo that they need to get the casino starting soon because of the owner of Shinnam Ferry, Kim Jae-yeol. He tells him he had a falling out with him, and he ran the gambling house. If they failed to deliver with the online business, both of them would likely be dead. The opening day for the online casino comes up.
Beom-jae and the other programmers are working on the site. Everything is going smoothly, but the server crashes. Dong-soo is worried about seeing Do-young’s face as it is a do-or-die situation for him. Luckily for them, it started to work, and Beom-jae told them that the surge of players and transactions was so high that the server crashed. Do-young and Dong-soo are pleased. Meanwhile, Do-young’s gang attacks and raids the gambling house, annoying Attorney Moon.
Do-young offers Dong-soo to help take down these politicians, but he turns him down, wanting to leave the country. Beom-jae and Dong-soo receive the amount that was promised the next day. Dong-soo also was given a car, and Do-young tells him it was his bonus.
Evilive (Season 1), Episode 6 Recap:
The episode begins with Dong-soo driving his new car and meeting with Beom-jae. Beom-jae is fast asleep, but Dong-soo talks to him about how much money Do-young must be making. Beom-jae tells him considering the amount they received, online gambling was making a lot, but they could not do anything about it as they had decided to wash their hands of this. They needed to accept what was given to them and move on with their lives.
Dong-soo is still left in wonder, and a bit of greed is growing within him. He meets with Do-young and gives him information about new programmers and other employee details who would take over. Do-young insisted that he wanted to meet them personally since he had to find someone as good as Dong-soo to replace him. Meanwhile, Dong-soo is still low, wondering how rich he would be if he actually ran an online gambling business.
Chang-ho won the election, and all the politicians had a party. Chang-ho brings Do-young to the party and introduces him as a businessman. Jae-yeol is shocked to see him there and asks him what he is doing here. The other politicians ask them if they know each other. Do-young tells him that they were in a partnership in a business called ‘the house.’ The other politicians wonder if that was some realtor business. Jae-yeol and Do-young talk in person, and Do-young insults him in a low-key manner.
Dong-soo’s detective neighbor, Chul-jin, sees him and stops to say hello. Dong-soo tries to get advice by cooking up a story. He tells Chul-jin that his friend had won the lottery, and he was fine with it until he knew it was his friend and he was the one who had insisted and bought him the numbers as well. So he was a tiny bit jealous. Chul-jin comforts him, gives him a lottery ticket, and wishes him luck.
Meanwhile, Jae-yeol is torturing Du-sik to find more information on how Do-young was making money. Du-sik finds the internet café and calls the cops on them. Dong-soo is now being tested to prove his words to Do-young. He had promised all the data would be erased in 5 minutes. Beom-jae and Mr Park are working on the servers. They hit a tiny bump, but they managed to erase all the data. The police were unable to find anything. Jae-yeol was now hitting Du-sik for making a reckless move and calling the cops.
Du-sik was trying to escape, but Do-young’s men captured him and tortured him. Subsequently, Du-sik begs him to spare his life. Do-young wants him dead, but Du-sik informs him that the family gang is after Dong-soo. Dong-soo’s family is all ready to leave the country, and Dong-soo is driving home but realizes he is being tailed. He gets away from the car and manages to catch the person red-handed.
It turned out to be Do-young’s men. Dong-soo asks him whether Do-young wants to kill him and his family now that their work is done. Moreover, Dong-soo was informed that they had received a report that his life was in danger, but it turned out he was fine. Dong-soo realizes something and rushes to the nursing home his mother was in, only to find it burning. His mother was brought out and taken in an ambulance. It was a sad moment for Dong-soo as his mother, for a brief moment before her death, had regained her memory.
Evilive (Season 1) Episode 6 Ending Explained:
Will Dong-soo embrace his dark side?
She tells him to be born into a good family and live comfortably in the next life. They have a funeral, and Do-young attends it with his men. Dong-soo catches Chairman Moon off guard on his morning walk and confronts him about how many people he has killed. Chairman Moon didn’t seem to care and said he didn’t count and also warned him that he would find out why he was involved with Do-young.
Dong-soo chokes him almost to death, leaving Chairman Moon in shock while gasping for breath. Later, Dong-soo meets with Do-young and tells him his idea about taking down Jae-yeol and Chairman Moon at first sounds foolish. However, he seems to be in on it.
Though Dong-soo tries his best to avoid committing crimes, his life and the people around him provoke him at the right moment to push him to the dark side. Do-young and Dong-soo are starting to have good chemistry, and they make a great team. Beom-jae’s reaction to this decision is going to be interesting. Beom-jae was already concerned with his brother’s behavior. They may have a falling out, and Dong-soo might find a brother in Do-young.
