Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Soundtrack: Dario Marianelli’s Latest Musical Triumph

“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024) The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” is set to bring audiences a blend of familiar and fresh musical themes.

Sony Music Masterworks is releasing the soundtrack, composed by Dario Marianelli. Known for his Oscar-winning work on the film Atonement, Marianelli infuses a touch of nostalgia into his latest project by drawing from Elmer Bernstein’s classic score from the original 1984 Ghostbusters movie.

Fans of the original will appreciate the callbacks to Bernstein’s work while also being treated to Marianelli’s signature style.

The soundtrack is available on digital platforms like Apple Music and Spotify. Lovers of physical media can look forward to its release on CD. It will be available in selected markets starting on April 12th, giving fans a chance to own a physical piece of the “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” experience.

“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” features an ensemble cast including familiar faces like Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Dan Aykroyd, and Annie Potts, along with Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. The story revolves around the Spengler family, which joined forces with the original Ghostbusters at the iconic firehouse in New York City. Together, they face a new threat.
