The trailer for “Ghosted,” a rom-com turned thriller featuring Chris Evans, and Ana de Armas, has been released on Apple TV+. The trailer depicts Evans’ character, Cole, who becomes certain that Sadie (played by de Armas) is not simply ignoring his messages after a single date. To win her heart, he travels to London, hoping for a grand romantic gesture. However, upon arriving, he discovers that Sadie is not who she seems to be and is a member of the CIA. As a result, the story takes a thrilling turn, where “actions speak louder than words.”

The initial impression given by the trailer of “Ghosted” suggests that it follows the usual plotline of a romantic comedy. However, it only takes a short time for the audience to realize that the movie is far from typical. Ana de Armas’ character, Sadie, soon reveals herself as an operative of the CIA, leading Chris Evans’ character, Cole, into a thrilling world of international espionage. The story is laced with explosive action set pieces that are sure to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

The writing team behind the successful movies “Deadpool” and “Zombieland,” Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, have penned the script for “Ghosted.” They pitched their idea to Skydance, who greenlit the project. Dexter Fletcher, the Director of “Rocketman,” is at the movie’s helm. Despite being shrouded in secrecy, it is known that the plot promises to be captivating. Originally, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans’ co-star from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was slated to play the female lead. However, she had to bow out due to a scheduling conflict, leading to Ana de Armas stepping into the role.

Apart from starring in “Ghosted,” Ana de Armas has another action movie on her plate – “Ballerina,” a spinoff movie of the famous “John Wick” franchise. In the film, de Armas plays a young woman with lethal skills who seeks vengeance when assassins murder her family. Recently, de Armas provided an update on the progress of “Ballerina,” revealing that they had been filming in Prague for four months, with one more month of shooting left.

Ghosted also co-stars Adrien Brody, Mike Moh, Amy Sedaris, and Tate Donovan, while the movie is produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger, who will share the co-production credit with Chris Evans, Jules Daly, Werenick, and Reese. Donald J. Lee Jr, Brian Bell, and De Arias will executive produce the project.
