Complete List of Winners at MTV Movie & TV Awards 2023: The ongoing Writers Guild Strike impacted this year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards ceremony. Since much of the talent backed out in solidarity with the writers’ demands, the awards were declared through a pre-taped ceremony. While Drew Barrymore was supposed to host the ceremony, she dropped out earlier this week. Instead, she was seen in an opening segment where she was inserted in scenes from several recent blockbusters like Top Gun: Maverick, Cocaine Bear, and The White Lotus, among others, in her popular role as Josie Geller.
One of the most-loved names from this year’s TV Industry – Pedro Pascal became the top winner of the night. He took home three trophies, including one for his performance, one as a part of Best Duo shared with his brilliant co-star Bella Ramsey and one for the devastating HBO post-apocalyptic series – The Last of Us.
In his acceptance speech, the ‘zaddy’ Pedro said – “I wish we could all be together so that I could look into your eyes and tell you that all the young people in the world are my heroes and I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you,” He continued, “When I say that you deserve a world that serves your interests, you deserve to be healthy, you deserve to be safe, you deserve for your individual rights to be fought for and protected, you deserve real heroes in this world because you are real heroes to me and I love you.”
Besides him, there were big names from Tom Cruise to Jenna Ortega, from Stranger Things to Scream VI that took home the trophies.
