Me Time Soundtrack – Every Song Featured in the Netflix movie: Me Time, this Netflix comedy released on August 26th stars Kevin Hart, Mark Wahlberg, Regina Hall, Luis Gerardo Méndez, and Jimmy O. Yang. The movie follows the story of Sonny (Kevin Hart), a stay-at-home dad whose life revolves only around his wife (Regina Hall) and children. After years of living the same daily routine, he finally gets his much-needed ‘me time’, where he reconnects with his former best friend Huck (Mark Wahlberg). Huck lives his life on his toes, almost opposite to that of Huck, and this leads them to start a crazy journey full of comedy and tragedy.
As the protagonist, Sonny plans his vacation, when he is invited by Huck to his birthday party in the Death Valley. There, he witnesses all the fun in his best friend’s life, only to realize that it’s not all glitters as Huck seems to have a criminal creditor on his back. The film also tries to showcase the relationship between Sonny and his wife Maya, when he and Huck break into the house of a rival of hers. One of the comic standouts of the film is Ilia Isorelýs Paulino’s Thelma, an uber driver whose scenes always manage to crack you up.

Being a comedy, the soundtrack for Me Time is fairly upbeat and keeps up with all the facade. The soundtrack of the film is loaded with many recognizable songs like ‘LIGHT IT UP [REMIX]’ by Major Lazer feat Nyla and Fuse ODG , ‘BEST FRIEND SONG (LEMON ICE MIX)’ by Rozzi, and ‘DYNAMITE’ by BTS.
Along with these singles, the score of the film is a jazz-inspired ensemble by composer Jeff Cardoni, a very well-known composer with works in many popular TV Shows such as Young Sheldon, How I Met Your Father, the US adaptation of Ghosts, Netflix’s The Kominsky Method, Silicon Valley, CSI: Miami and Undercover Boss. The soundtrack fairly does justice to this movie tone that sets out for adventures but takes detours to many misadventures on the way.
