Maid for Revenge is a predictable thriller that tells the story of Annie, who has been pushed to the eye of the storm by someone with malicious intentions. While Annie traces the trails leading to a hardened criminal, a little more probing reveals that things in her family do not seem as they apparently look.

Annie Wilkerson works as a maid for a cleaning service agency. She is also a single parent to her only son, Tate. Annie has to take the help of either a babysitter or her ex-mother-in-law, Elizabeth, to watch over Tate while she is at work. One day, Annie is hired by someone who only makes their presence known through notes left for Annie. Annie is left a note by the house owner, who asks her to help herself to the drinks. However, the drink is spiked, and she becomes unconscious. When Annie wakes up, she finds herself by the side of the house’s swimming pool with her hands dripping with blood. To her horror, she finds the owner’s lifeless body floating on the water. Annie readily recognizes the dead woman.
Soon, the police arrive, and Annie bolts from the site. On her way, Annie finds an unattended vehicle and breaks into it to drive to her son, but the owner catches her. The owner of the vehicle, Billy, sympathizes with Annie and offers to help. Billy drops Annie home and lets her borrow his mobile. In this state of frenzy, Annie forgets that she had dropped her son at Elizabeth’s. Later, she goes to Elizabeth’s house to pick him up. However, the thoughts of the crime she was witness to and a car that seems to be following her all the time do not let her be at peace. Annie goes to her attorney, Hank Darrow, for help, but he advises Annie to turn herself in to the police.
Annie is aware of the identity of the dead body. It is the body of Lydia Mosley, the head juror who had found Annie guilty of apparently killing her husband in an accident. Following the sentence, she was jailed, and Tate was taken away from her. Due to the unreliability of the justice system, Annie does not buy into the idea of taking the help of the police or the judiciary. Instead, she flees to Billy for help.
She reveals to him that her parole was contingent on the fulfillment of the condition that she does not involve herself in any criminal activities. Going to the police will only lead to Tate being taken away from his mother again. Billy traces the details of the car that follows Annie and finds out that it belongs to a hardened criminal, Maynard Barnes. Billy and Annie suspect that Barnes is not alone in this; rather, he is a mere pawn who has been roped in with money.
Who is Samuel Primm?
Annie opens up to Billy and reveals the aftermath of her husband’s death. The police, quite suspiciously, framed her for driving under the alcohol influence when, in actual fact, Annie never drank. Annie and Billy watch over the movements of Maynard Barnes and his associate and follow them to a barn. The associate comes out of the car to collect a stash of money hidden in a postbox. After they leave, Annie opens the postbox and skims through the mail only to find them addressed to one Samuel Primm. Samuel Primm was the driver of the car with which Annie’s car collided on the night of the accident.
Annie confronts Primm and finds out that Primm was actually to be held for the accident. He was texting and driving, which made him lose control. The police offer who falsely framed Annie did so to save Primm, his childhood friend.
Who framed Annie for Lydia’s murder?
When Annie goes to Elizabeth’s house to drop off Tate, she discloses the latter the details of all that she has found out so far. Elizabeth, too, attempts to call the police, but Annie rejects her suggestion. When Elizabeth makes a beeline for the kitchen to make some tea, Annie finds a piece of damning evidence that immediately alters her perception of Elizabeth. She finds that Elizabeth’s writing on a bank cheque closely resembles the flowy handwriting on the note that directed her to have drinks in Lydia’s house.
Elizabeth comes back and finds Annie wearing an expression of suspicion. Without wasting any more time, Elizabeth begins narrating the manner in which she framed Annie. Elizabeth said this was the only way she could save Tate, who needed a caring mother and not a convicted felon. In Annie’s absence, Elizabeth took Tate in. However, she was sore about losing his grandson to Annie after she was released on parole two and a half years later. It was Elizabeth who had falsely hired Annie, killed Lydia, and spiked Annie’s drink.

Does Annie save her son?
Annie finds out that Maynard Barnes and his accomplice were actually working for Elizabeth all along. What further shocks Annie is the involvement of Hank, who, in fact, was the one who helped Elizabeth get in touch with Barnes. Elizabeth ties Annie’s hands with a cable lock, holds her captive in a car, and asks Barnes to get rid of her. However, Barnes has something else on his mind. After driving down some distance, Barnes stops his car and suggests to his partner the idea of kidnapping Tate and blackmailing Elizabeth to amass more money from her.
Annie takes this as an opportunity to free herself and runs away. The men, who do not put much effort into going after Annie, decide that they would claim that they have killed her. Barnes goes to Elizabeth’s place and abducts Tate. He tells her that she should get a message disclosing the address where she is supposed to arrive with 200 Grand. The same night Billy knocks at Elizabeth’s door in search of Annie. Elizabeth falsely claims that she is on her way out to meet Annie in order to get a ride from Billy to reach Barnes’ den. On the other hand, Annie discovers the location of Barnes from Hank.
After arriving at her destination, Elizabeth knocks Billy unconscious and enters the house with the money. Annie shows up just a little later. A fight between Annie and Barnes breaks out, and Elizabeth finds it an appropriate opportunity to escape with Tate. When Elizabeth leaves, Annie finds Billy, and the two head out to look for her. However, an unmindful Elizabeth drinks the spiked water that she had saved for Billy. Knowing that she would not be able to drive further as that would jeopardize Tate’s life, she attempts to flee the site with Tate on foot, but Annie arrives on time and saves Tate.
Before leaving, Billy suggests that they should call the cops. But, instead of calling the cops, Annie ties up Elizabeth and leaves her on the road for the police to find her. She also sticks a sign detailing the misdeeds of Elizabeth written in a confessional, first-person mode. In the end, the news of Elizabeth’s involvement in Lydia Mosley’s death breaks out. The film ends with Annie and Billy on vacation, beginning their romantic journey together with Tate by their side.
