Prom Pact Soundtrack: Every Song Featured In the Disney+ Movie – High school romcoms have been one of the most loved movie genres since the 80s and 90s, and we still love them the same. It’s a comfort genre for almost every age group, as either we have experienced it or will experience it, making it a fan favorite. The latest addition to this genre is Disney’s “Prom Pact.” The film showcases the story of two best friends in high school who decide to have the time of their life during the height of the Prom Season.

Directed by Anya Adams, the story follows high school senior Mindy Yang and her best friend Ben, who are outsiders of the batch. Prom season is at its height, with elaborate Promposals happening everywhere around. But what Mindy cares the most about is her Harvard application, where she has been waitlisted. With her dream to be at Harvard-ian, she is ready to do whatever she can to get off that waitlist. She and Ben decide to leave the sidelines and have fun at the Prom. Mindy also befriends a jock, Graham, whose father is a senator and a Harvard Alum, in the hope that he will help her get off the waitlist and recommend her to the college.

Starring Payton Elizabeth Lee and Milo Manheim in lead roles, the film strives to be a bit different than the typical teen comedy. Here, the two best friends are in the lead. The friendship between Mindy and Ben and their journey throughout their senior year is what the story is all about. The film gives an escape from the obvious trope of a jerk jock and a nerd and talks about how everyone should have fun in those special years of high school before the reality of a harsh world settles in. Also impressive is Margaret Cho as Ms. Chen, who advises Mindy for the best.

Prom Pact Soundtrack: All songs featured in the Disney+ Movie:

High School is a period when we are exposed to music a lot. Everyone is a fan. We even make friends based on music choices. So the music in a teen comedy like this is one of the most important parts of the whole experience. This film does this right.

Along with 1980s glam, the film also brings the music from the era. With some of the present hits like “Believer” by Imagine Dragons and “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish, which we can’t get enough of, the soundtrack also has classic hits like “Let’s Dance” – by David Bowie, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston. And “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction adds to our nostalgic obsession with boybands and their music. There are also some covers of popular songs in the films for a music fanatic to enjoy.
