Top Gun: Maverick Soundtrack – Every Song Featured in the movie: May 2022 witnessed the release of one of the best sequels to a beloved classic movie. Top Gun Maverick has now surpassed the Avengers Infinity War to become one of the highest-grossing movies in America. It has crossed the 1 billion USD mark across the globe, earning 623 million USD in the US only. Currently, it is the highest-grossing movie of 2022. With its Blu-ray and OTT version slated to come out soon, it will continue to do more earnings.

It is a sequel to one of the most revered classics of all time ‘Top Gun’ which is said to have set the stage for the then and now with protagonist Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell played by Tom Cruise. This movie made Tom Cruise into a world star, a pronoun he enjoys to date. He has since then been the leading star in the galaxy of high-grossing movies.

The movie follows Tom’s character Maverick as the thirty-year Air force veteran turned test pilot through a new challenge as he is tasked to train newbies of which one is the son of a fallen comrade at Top Gun; a training institute for the best of the best pilots. Uncertain of his future and struggling with his issues, Maverick must lead the new generation through a near-impossible task.

The movie’s soundtrack is filled with many classics from its prequel as they roped in the same music composer, Harold Faltermeyer, who along with Hans Zimmer injects new energy to the soundtrack. Songs like ‘I ain’t worried’ by One Republic and ‘Hold my hand’ by Lady Gaga are at par with the classics such as the Top Gun Anthem and the Main titles (You’ve been called back to the top gun) gifted to the world by Harold Faltermeyer. The movie as well as the song’s playlist is worth every penny spent.

‘I ain’t worried’ by One Republic and ‘Hold my hand’ by Lady Gaga were released as singles before the release of the whole album. Both songs did well on their own. They even got their own music videos which garnered millions of views.

‘Great Balls of Fire’ performed by Miles Teller brought out the memories of the prequel ‘Top Gun’. The track makes the experience of this movie much more enjoyable. The adrenaline rush, the emotions, and the feeling of being one with the characters through music is what this soundtrack is all about. As the end credits roll down, ‘Hold my hand’ by Lady Gaga plays which basically culminates all one feels about the movie.
