The portrayal of Kya Clark by Daisy Jones is mind-blowing as she owns this character. If you have read the book you can clearly see the characters coming to life. Two of Kya’s love interests in the film, Tate Walker and Chase Andrews are also portrayed amazingly. Both Taylor and Harris did a great job as it comes easily for the audience to love and hate their characters. The mystery behind the murder also unfolds in a thrilling way with a great twist at the end adding to the overall experience.

For a mystery thriller like this film, Mychael’s work serves as the cherry on the cake. There score carefully understands all the important characters and lets them play out in key moments of the film.
It enhances all the scenes in a way that the movie’s experience improves tenfolds.
Taylor Swift’s ‘Carolina’ is like a folk song written ages ago to tell the story of The Marsh Girl. It was the only track written before the filming and still fits perfectly. The director even said that this song shaped the direction of the film. The song is basically the summary of the book without spoilers and is hauntingly beautiful. Taylor’s low register is what makes the song unique.
