The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh – Part 1 (2022) Plot Summary & Movie Synopsis:

In this film, we encounter the story of Tristen, son of Meliodas, and Lord Deathpierce. The movie begins with Tristen training with Lancelot, who is the son of Ban. But in that moment of trying to win, Tristen’s demon blood overpowers him, and he hurts Lancelot. He suddenly wakes up and is worried about his powers. Tristen has befriended Gowther, aka the Goat Sin of Lust. He learns how to ride horses with him. As they explore, they hear a commotion coming from the village, and they head in that direction. They arrive at the location to see two men have fallen off their carriages. Tristen, who had gained healing powers from his mother, heals both men.

That night at dinner, Meliodas questions Tristen why he was skipping training and if his intentions to become the holy knight had changed. Tristen explains to his father that he is more interested in medicine, but Meliodas demands clarification. Tristen gets angry, saying his father would never understand him, and runs away. He is reminded of his nightmare leading to his worries about being a holy knight. His mother, Elizabeth, tries to talk to Tristen, and he asks his mother if being the holy knight is the only way to help someone. He wanted to help people in other ways. Elizabeth explains that sometimes fighting is the only way to help someone and advises him to talk to his father. Tristen ends the conversation abruptly and runs away.

The following day, Tristen is given the bad news that his mother has collapsed. Hendrickson tries to do everything to heal her but informs Meliodas and Tristen that she was put on a curse. Tristen tries to heal her and, in the process, sees the priest who had put a spell on her, and he tries to reach him but can’t. He dashes out, knowing the spell was put from the palace’s East, and heads out. Gowther sends a message to Ban, the fairy king, and Diane about Elizabeth’s situation.

Some monsters are attacking the Giants and Fairy Forest. As he heads toward the East, he sees a beast attacking three fairies and a giant. He immediately swoops in to help. Subsequently, the fairy boy informs Tristen that some magic is controlling these monsters. Tristen does not seem to recognize the fairy boy and tries to know more about him, but he refuses to reveal his identity. They all head towards the East and see these monsters taking the captured giants and fairies into a palace. The fairy boy informs Tristen that the lord in the palace refused to cooperate with Giants and Fairies that lived nearby. Tristen and the fairy boy fight them and release the giants and fairies.

They thanked them and informed them that they would fight alongside them as they believed more people might be captured inside the palace. At the same time, the fairy boy points out that more significant trouble is approaching, and they need to take their children and run away.
