Michael Keaton returns as the undead conman Betelgeuse, wielding his signature dark humor and chaotic powers. This time, he’s being pursued by his vengeful ex-wife while pining for Lydia Deetz, who still wants nothing to do with him.
Beyond his work in Beetlejuice, he has teamed up with Tim Burton for the Batman films, reprising his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in The Flash. He later took on the role of the Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming and starred as Riggan Thomson in Birdman, a performance that earned him an Oscar nomination.
Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz
Lydia Deetz, the girl who could talk to ghosts in the original, is now an adult. After returning to her childhood home following her father Charles’ death, family tensions resurface for Lydia. When her daughter, Astrid, gets entangled in the supernatural, she must join forces with her old nemesis to save her.
Ryder has been known for her iconic gothic roles for decades. From Heathers to the ongoing Stranger Things series on Netflix, she has become a beloved figure in film and television. A rising star in the current climate, Ortega is known for her roles in horror and supernatural projects. Justin Theroux as Rory
Rory is Lydia’s self-serving boyfriend and the producer of her TV show. Even though the character has a shallow presence, Justin Theroux’s charisma makes him a memorable addition to the Beetlejuice universe.
Theroux is best known for playing Kevin Garvey in HBO’s The Leftovers and has appeared in films like Mulholland Drive, The Spy Who Dumped Me, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, and as the Evil DJ in the Zoolander series. Delores is a vengeful zombie ex-bride with the power to drain souls, even from the already dead. After piecing herself back together, she’s hunting down her ex-husband for reasons he likely deserves.

Willem Dafoe as Wolf Jackson
Wolf Jackson, once a B-movie action star, is now a ghostly detective tasked with solving supernatural crimes in the afterlife. As chaos erupts in his town, thanks to the Deetz family, Delores, and Beetlejuice, Jackson steps in to restore order.
Willem Dafoe is not a name that needs an introduction. He’s widely recognized as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin in Spider-Man and as Vulko in Aquaman. Dafoe has also starred in Robert Eggers’ The Lighthouse and The Northman, with an upcoming role in Nosferatu. Recently, he appeared in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things and Kinds of Kindness.
Danny DeVito as the Janitor
Tim Burton often turns to Danny DeVito when he needs someone to embody his macabre vision. Be it Batman Returns, Mars Attacks!, Big Fish, or the live-action Dumbo, DeVito is ready to serve. In the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice cast, DeVito makes a brief cameo as a janitor, continuing a decades-long collaboration.
DeVito’s career has included iconic roles in TV shows like Taxi and as Frank Reynolds in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Other than that, DeVito is known for his voice work in family films like Hercules, Space Jam, The Lorax, and Migration, and for directing and starring in Matilda.
