[Watch] The Third Day Teaser: Jude Law Stars in This Haunting Upcoming HBO Series

The third day teaser

‘The Third Day’ Teaser just paved its way online and we cannot hold our excitement. This new miniseries is going to be aired on HBO. From what we can gather, this upcoming show is trying to blur the lines between fantasy and reality. The teaser does not give away any easy answers. It rather shares only clues and pieces about the characters while remaining largely ambiguous. And from the looks of it, the makers certainly promise an eerie ride deep into the psyche of the characters.

Starring Jude Law in the lead, The Third Day Teaser also gives a peek at other actors known for their highly promising works before. Naomie Harris, the British actress who is known for her roles from Moonlight and Skyfall, plays another key-character from this 6-episode series.

It also stars Chernobyl-fame Emily Watson, known also for her turn from Paul Thomas Anderson’s Punch Drunk Love. Katherine Waterson is back after her impressive turn from Mid 90s and Inherent Vice. Apart from these celebrated faces, the show also stars Freya Allan, Paddy Considine and John Dagleish in important roles. Looking at such a stunning cast, we cannot wait for the series to come out.

The cinematography looks spectacular from the teaser. Spanning from aerial shots to the terrifying close-ups, the visuals are enough to build the atmosphere. And the score syncs just right with the mood. Written by Dennis Kelly – who is known for the black-comedy conspiracy series Utopia, The Third Day is being produced by an immersive theater company called Punchdrunk. The minds behinds ‘Sleep No More’ certainly promise the same level of eldritch undercurrent.

The Third Day will have its premiere on May 11, 2020, on HBO. Check out the teaser below.
